EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing was first developed in 1987. EMDR is a very effective method of healing trauma and traumatic memories that are held in the mind and body. Through a series of eye movements the client releases memories and associations that are stored in the unconscious. These unconscious memories may be burdening the client greatly in their current daily life. By clearing the traumatic memories we can begin to live life more fully.

We include illness, abrupt or unexpected life transitions, difficult childhood experiences, abuse, loss, accidents and other such events as traumatic and treatable with EMDR. EMDR is used in conjunction with the other forms of Body-Oriented therapies offered by Andrea DeSharone.
